Shoulder Girdle Workshop: Shoulder Tension? Limited
Movement or Frozen shoulder?
This workshop will encourage the fluidity of the smaller
movements of the shoulder. With this awareness you will gain
the tools you need to release holding patterns of tension
and gain proper mechanical movement. The focus of this
workshop is on increasing your range of motion and balancing
out the strength in the muscles used to move the most mobile
joint in the body: the shoulder.
Cost: Included in your unlimited pass or use your
existing class pass.
$12/drop-in or $18 coupled with the ELDOA (spinal
exercise class)
When: September 8th 6:45pm Shoulder Girdle Workshop
(30 min.)
7:45pm ELDOA Spinal Exercises (40-50
min.)
Wednesdays: ELDOA (spinal exercise class)
Bring awareness to your spine by using specific movements
with your muscles, thus drawing more space between the
joints of the spine. Creating more space increases
nutrients, reduces tension of connective tissue on nerves,
and in turn encourages a healthier and longer spine. These
are great exercises for unbalanced curvatures in the spine
(Scoliosis), herniated discs, and aids with correcting
general imbalance that occur in posture muscles.
Sometimes in class it can be difficult to pick out all
the yoga gems that instructors are providing! These posture
tip videos, taught by Moksha teachers across Canada, allow
for a closer look at how to move deeper in feeling what
a postures is all about. This info can then be taken right
back into the hot room and infused with breath for a whole
new experience.

One of the central ideas in yoga philosophy is ‘ahimsa’ or ‘non-harming’. In the Moksha community we work together to practice ahimsa toward the environment. If you’d like to join us in this collective effort check out the monthly videos for some simple ideas on how to create less of an environmental impact in day to day living.
